What we collect, and who sees it.
Last updated 4 September 2026.
The short version
Your job-site content belongs to your company and is visible only to the people your company owner lets in. We use it to run the service and for nothing else. We don't sell data and we don't run advertising.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, the handle your owner assigns you, and your company's name and logo.
- Job-site content: photos, video, markup, messages, walkthrough audio and the transcripts and briefs generated from it, proposals, and job addresses.
- Billing: the company owner's card is handled by our payment processor. We never see or store the card number; we store the subscription status, seat count and renewal date.
- Technical: the usual server logs (address, browser, time of request) used for security and to keep the service running. We don't use tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this website or in the app.
Where it goes
- Storage and hosting is on a major cloud provider's infrastructure in the United States. Each company's data is kept separate, and that separation is enforced by rules on the database itself, which are tested before every release.
- AI processing: walkthrough audio is sent to a speech-to-text provider, and the resulting text to a language-model provider, to produce transcripts and Site Briefs. They process the content to return a result for your walk.
- Email: invites, verification and billing messages are sent through a transactional email provider.
- Payments: handled by a payment processor under its own privacy policy.
- Address lookup: when you type a job address, the text you type is sent to a mapping provider to offer suggestions.
We don't share content with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Who inside your company sees what
Employees see every job in the company. Subcontractors see only the jobs they have been put on. Prices are visible only to people the owner has granted that permission. Conversations on a photo are visible to everyone who can see that photo and are never included when a photo is exported. Everyone on a company can see the company roster: names, handles and email addresses.
Your device
The app keeps a copy of recent jobs on your device so it works without signal. That copy lives in the browser's storage and is removed when you sign out or remove the app.
Keeping and deleting
Retired photos, videos, walkthroughs and jobs can be restored by the company owner for 90 days, then are scheduled for permanent removal. When a member is removed, their login is deleted along with their membership. When a company is closed, everything in it follows the same 90-day path. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing jake@gettradereel.com. Job-site content belongs to the company, so requests about it go through the company owner.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or by email before it takes effect.
